Jimmy LeDuke here... I began writing this blog shortly after the combined Tiptonville High/LCHS class reunion which was held in the fall of 2009, in order to share the many letters I had received in response to my “Request for Memories” letter that I had sent out during the summer of 2009 to honor my mother, and longtime teacher in Lake County, Catherine LeDuke.

I fully admit this blogging exercise is as much a vanity endeavor as it is a tribute to my mother.  I hope that those of you who have not previously been exposed to it will take the time to go back to the beginning of the blog and take a look.  Many of the posts are shared letters from her former students, others are my own ramblings and memories of growing up in Tiptonville.  I'd love to continue to share your experiences and memories, so please feel free to contact me if you have something to share.
